You can claim for baby sitting expenses if the day care provider , provides you with receipts. This means that your day care provider should pay tax for the amount that gets from you.
The CRA will need the SIN number , name and address of the day care provider.
I belive that the max. amount that you can apply for day care expenses is around $7,000 to $8,400 a year and it can be claimed from the lowest income earner of the family (unless there are special circumstances like a business seperation and that the baby was staying for a greater period with a higher income earning member)

You got it wrong. She wants receipts to claim day care expenses. I am not sure if such issues should be discussed on a public forum. You are basically claiming expenses you never incurred and avoiding taxes.
