Yesterday I was reading Mclean's. In an article it said that it takes one week for an oil change, after taking the appointment. Wow! The article also said that Calgary added about 116 cars every day in 2006. Buses are full during peak hours, rural roads now handle almost 10,000 cars a day. Construction is slow as they cant find skilled labor to do the job.
It should slow down this year about 10 % as the drilling is slightly less this year.

Calgary having labor crunch (mostly immigrant labor get struck in Toronto and Vancouver). High paying jobs are lot here but mostly in engineering field.
How about IT jobs in Calgary area ?
For IT people, is it worth coming there?
