Hi Guys,
My Wife has just recieved her Immigration VISA and would be travelling to Canada next Month. During her VISA Processing we Included a PCC ( Police Clearance Certificate) which was obtained from the Regional Passport Office. Now that PCC is six months old and according to a Travel Agent in INDIA we need to have a Valid PCC and also that has been Obtained from a District Superintendent of POLICE when we Leave INDIA on a Permenant Residence VISA.
I Came to CANADA 3 years ago and i was not required to do so and to the best of my knowledge i have not heard the same from anyone to. Does anyone on CD is aware of any such new rules and is it Mandatory to carry an Original Valid PCC while travelling to CANADA.
Thanks
Spatel
Why don't you get one from where ever they are demanding. Travel in peace , let your wife enjoy her flight to Canada.

Hi Charlie,
I Agree with you and even i wanted to get it before she comes here but we knew this yesterday itself and she i travelling on the 1st of next month. Now to get anything from a Police Office will take somewhere fom 30 to 45 days and that is the reason i am asking this question.
thanks

Hi Patel
The best thing you can do is to have your wife to carry the photocopy of the recent Police clearance certificate and try to manage. This is a news to me also. I never heard of it before. I will call my friend in Guelph who immigrated recently and let you know. I need to tell my wife too about this since she is also comin here on 30th July. Her police clearance certificate was taken in March 3rd week so I hope it is still valid. Talk to you soon

if u have valid visa, you dnt require to carry latest PPc or any other document else then COPR forms unless demand by CHC, New Delhi.
This is crazy..
Patel, ask you travel agent, who told him about this new rule ??..

Hi Guys,
I am not sure if the TRAVEL AGENT in INDIA is bluffing or there is really this new rule. According to the Travel Aagent that anyone Leaving the country for the first time should produce a Valid PCC obtained from a District Superintendent of POLICE( Not passport Office) to the Immigration officials at All Airports in INDIA.
What i want to know is has anyone else heard or experienced this before. Is it really serious.
Thanks
Spatel
