this info is for USA - not relevant to Canada atall
Secondly - if someone thinks he can get a franchise without connections in the company - come to me and i will put in all the money and still make you a partner!
My first stage approval came in 2002 - they haven't talked after that. For two years, whenever I called them, they kept saying they will let me know when they have a location for me (even when I was ready to relocate anywhere in Ontario). Finally I gave up!

Also, my recommendation is Boston Pizza...if you can afford it.
Remember though, franchise means that you would be working and pushing yourself to limit to earn for the franchises. Usually, in most franchises you would be barely making about 5K a month (after expenses)...but may have to work all 7 days and longs hours. Your could also consider Starbucks or Second Cup in the downtown core. Those would have somewhat shorter working hours and you still make same kind of money.
