Hi All,
I work in GTA for one of the software firms. I am currently on work permit under software pilot program. I have been working here on work permit for the last one and half years. I am leaving to India to get married. I would like to bring my wife to Canada on visitor’s visa. If there are any guidelines please do let me know. If anyone of you has undergone the same, any information will be helpful and appreciated.
I tried to get professional help from Green & Spiegel (Toronto’s leading immigration firm) but they hardly know anything in this matter. Also they cannot evaluate the way visitor’s visa is approved by Canadian consulate in Canada. All that they told me was the list of the documents I need my wife’s visa processing.
So if you have any information in this regard please do let me know.
thank you all in advace,
Celi……..
Hey CF,
Most of the Immi firms wont be able to help you in tourist visa category.
I am sharing with you some info which i,ve seen happening with few frens & known ppl of mine but they all were either citizens or landed migrants.
Couple of my frens applied for tourist visa for their fiancee/wife, but it was always denied quoting that once they land in Canada they will never come back.
Moreover they did approach some immi firms in India and their response was also the same that its really hard to get.Infact the immi officers themselves say, to file for PR under spousal category.
Some of the immi firms in India may take your case but all they do is charge you some amount and will give you a list of document to prepare, still everything you had to do on ur own, they wont do anything.
so i wont suggest at all.
Basic rule is dat, immi officers look for reasons that person applying for tourist visa will return back to India and he/she should have sufficient country ties.
In the end, in case of Citizens/PR's sponsoring their fiancee/wife, what i,ve seen most of them get denied for tourist visa thou i am not sure about ur case as u r not a citizen/PR, so maybe different.
if u want, pm me and i can tell you about some of the document ur wife needed to prepare to make her case strong.

You can complain because roses have thorns or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.
Very very difficult to get her here as a visitor. If you haven't sponsored her, do so right away. Good luck

I know one Permanent Resident friend who brought his wife under vistor visa and now applied for sponsorship
You know what if it was that easy to call your spouse under tourist visa then everyone would have gone for it.
just call your spouse on tourist visa and then file her PR in Canada so that she wont have to leave you.
I think people who have tried it they know better.
Chances that you will get tourist visa apporved are very very slim but anyways one try can be given at the risk of a visa refusal stamp on passport.
