I like many of his songs...esp.., When ever I think about "Kishore Kumar", Chalte Chalte Mere Ye Geet Yaad rakna..Julie, Golmal,Sharmilie are some of my Kishore's ,.
Such songs bring my Teen, even Pre teen memories back.

Though I like many singers in some aspects, my #1 singer is "Mukesh Ji" who
manage to get out of Saigal's shadow to present some of the best songs like

Aa ab laut chalein.
Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan
Jane kahan gaye vo dhin.
Raat andheri Door savera... ( I doubt how many folks remember this song)..
Kisi ki musqurahaton pe ho najan...
Mukesh's songs put me to sleep....

While Mukesh is one of my favorite singer, I also enjoy

1. Mohd Rafi (Chand mera dhil, Dhil ke jaroke mein tujko bitakar, Teri galiyon mein na rakkhoon ga khadham and more)
2. Manna dey ( Laga Chunri me daagh, Amazing, Amazing song, is that Hindustani , I really love this song)
3. Bupinder (Dil Doond tha, Aye phir vohin)
4. Suresh Vadekar ( I feel his voice is very very unique, isn't it)..
5. Jagjit Singh (Pinjar's song).
6. Hariharan (Less his irritating stage actions)
7. Initial 3-4 years of Udit Narayan before he started using his nose to sing..

Last but not least, may be in position #3, Lata Mangeshkar.
Lata ji, why did you continue singing even after 1990s... You could've retired and left such a treasure of amazing songs.. Probably it will be atleast about 200 songs to list as the top class songs from her..,


Well, I pretty much feel I've filled your thread with my music interest...felt like discussing a bit about my favorite songs as I used to spend this sort of discussion with my Father back home....


May be when I find like minded (Old music interests), we should start some thread in the entertainment section to exchange ....
