dear Mr Massood,
First of all I must admit that You have been source of information and consultation to thousands of ppl wishing to come to canada.

I am Permanent Resident of canada now.My question is that I have my fiancee back home in pakistan and we are not married yet. we are planning to marry in February 2006. Is there any way that I can sponsor her on some category so that by the time we get married she could come with me to canada.

Under the OLD law, you could sponsor her as a fiancee. Not anymore. There's the conjugal partner route but that is too complex. Best advice is to get married and sponsor. Spouse applications only take a few weeks anyway.

One more question in this regard : Do the canadian authorities still consider the telephonic or Online Nikah ( marriage online or on telephone) legal; If so will that work for me in my case ???

yes, nikah by phone is legally valid if other conditions of nikah are met. You can do the nikah and in the application mention that you did it so that you could expedite the process since you are going to see your wife soon to fulfill other cultural requirements & so that she can come back with you.
