Yep Thats true that it should take only 7-10 Months if you have HRSDC approval.

There are 2 concerns though

1. If CPC agreed with all the documents than they will send directly medical Requirements ( For Most of the Cases ). As you are in India, You need to specify in the medical form that Your file is being processed at Buffalo.

2. If CPC dont Agree and they Required an Interview, You need to apply a Visitor visa & Chances to get Visitor visa for USA from India is currently Very less. I prefer to apply for Canadian Visitor visa as your husband is here which will make case very strong to get Visitor visa from here for an Interview.
