Yes u right HG6 -- v both ran away when we cud have stayed & that v r guilty of being selfish but that doesnt stop us from admiring those who have stayed back and are holding on the baton . Kind of makes me feel proud when I think abt the talent back India.

Cleaniness, 24 X 7 availablity of electricty and water, good roads , Good quality of life also has a big value in living in Canada. Not getting an IT job is not a reason enough to go back to India and get back into the same what we came from ..

i have seen people in US canada having millions but not having the peace of mind..i have heard people saying wish we returned back on time....

I sinply love india..because it has given me whatever i am today..all the basics in my life...the only thing i feel sorry that i could not give anything to india...
it has given me the eduction
it has given me the manners to respect elders
it has taught me to live in tough situations inthe abscence of electricity and water
ithas taught me to live even when some one makes critical comments about my family
it has taught me to stand tough and strong during my so called bad days

what makes me more lovable to india...it would happily recieve me when any country kicks me overnight..

well india is my motherland

but ia m sorry to say that i could not offer much to my mother land so i have no right to blame her.

Howerever ugly a mother or motherland be one shld not forsake it! Thats what i belive in.
at least one shld not feel bad about ones mother or motherland or mother tounge

I have a strong belief that i will go back to india one day for sure!!!

is't it an irony that most of the people praising India and talking it being great BLAh! Blah! are all in Canada and trying to get into USA or dying to get a GC to make a good quality of living.

If someone is so convinced that quality of life is so great in India and roads and cleaniness do not matter and it has the best culture and best country etc. I do not see any reason for that guy to be outside India at all and all of you guys can readily go back too and make more space and jobs for us here in Canada ..

If india was so great there would not be 6 months waiting in US consulate to get an H1B and 42 months of processing time to get PR of Canada .

Live in reality guys and not an "utopian" world


None of us (AFAIK) is going back to India so it being best (even if it is) does not matter anymore ...

People ARE going back to India.

People are forsaking foreign employment in favor of Indian Employment(recent IIM report s an eg)

For the no. of ppl lining up @ the US / Canadian Consulates there are 10 times the no. who r comfortably ensconsed in India earnign fat pay packets - do world travel & dont think of migrating .

And coming 2 US / Canada is not the ultimate solution as ppl who have stayed here have realised .

But yes I agree quality of life / corruption / lack of system is a big demotivator for returning back. And plus there s the competition . But all this does not authorise us 2 denounce what v have left behind. I am more proud of the guys who r doing back well home then I am ever of myself.

Upon a 2nd thought its a personal preference as sm may prefer GTA to Vancouver and others vice versa .
