There’s also tons of ‘desis’ with the major consulting and auditing firms.

It is not who "maybe" right. I AM right! Fortunately for you, things have turned out fine. You have been in Canada only a few months, and having got a job soon enough, have been more or less insulated from reality.

Are you there?
Well. that's just a piece of trash. Hogwash. Nonsense. I am not surprised that the Indian Media talks about \"shattered dreams\". Well it's all about negativity - as if all is hunky dory in India.
In the first place, these blokes survive by just telling how bad a \"Phoren\" country, Canada is. Question is........why these idiots do not highlight the strides made by Indians here ( We have successful doctors, engineeers, and even premiers here, who came from India).
The other question these dumb idiots should ask themselves and those cry babies (read \"profssionals with shattered dreams\", why they came here to Canada, if they found riches, a good lifestyle and happiness in \"
MERA BHARAT MAHAAN\"
I haven't exacty made millions in Canada, but I am happy with Canada.
I would rather keep away from these pests who spread the disease of negativity and discouragement.

Sure its not just the IT folks who have done well. But the fact is that IT people get people in most cases get jobs real quick. The networking and connection jobs dont come as quickly so the first gen has to be prepared. Its more the time issue and money drains fast in North America or Europe.
Continuation from the other thread on "stereotyping"....and how many Desis are doing what in Canada....
I had mentioned in that thread how menial jobs are being overwhelming dominated (sorry to put a positive spin on this ) by VMs.
Well the other day there was a power outage at my work place. It was long enough that everybody had to be herded out of the warehouse. Once there I thought it would be a good opportunity to count the number of VMs and white folks. The results sort of confirmed what I may have just estimated before.
I counted close to 200 people where we were all standing. There were about 10 White folks in that group.
Inside the cafeteria which can hold about 200 people easily, I didnt count but I think I saw pretty much the same thing. The odd table in between had bunch of team leads who were all white.
From what I know the VMs are composed of mainly Blacks, Asians, West Indians of Asian origin. 1st and 2nd generation.
This just at one warehouse.
The birth of classes in society.
without much trying we have created two classes of folks who will foever fight on what is "canada" and always deny each others' existence.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
