Hi,
I am an Indian studying in India and applied to Canadian universities as an international student for undergraduate Engineering . My father has received landing papers( me as dependent) two days back and we are planning to move to Canada in the 2nd week of April 2005. Earl;ier ,I applied to universities as international student because of the uncertainty involved in the immigration process.
Having received Landing papers ,now I want to change my status from prospective international student to PR . Also now want to make application for financial aid .
To get the benefits of PR what should be my immediate action. When should I land to get the benefits of being a PR .

I think you should contact the universities (wher you are seeking admission) for this info. Your PR benefits start from the day you land in Canada. However, to be eligible for financial aid like OSAP, you need to be resident in Ontario (and several other provinces) at least for one year before applying for OSAP.
