finally moving to montreal

Hi,
Things have worked out and am finally moving to Montreal from vancouver...Just wondering how many desis are there in Montreal..
Is there any desi area like vancouver or toronto...
and finally will I survive the winter?

Don't worry you will get lot of desi's in our place let me know when you are here ...Did you found Apartment already ?

Thanks a lot for the reply.
I haven't found a place yet..but will have to look for one.
I am joining the company on Sept 20th and they will be providing for temp stay for a month.
Do you know which is a good place/area or a desi area to stay in Montreal?

It depend whether you want to stay close to your office location or not
I am staying in St Laurent and its really a cool place .. my office is only 6 minutes drive and all major malls and even downtown is within 15 -20 mins driving
Let me know your office location(if possible) I could then suggest you something

It looks like thats where your office is too.
How is the subway/bus system in Montreal?
Also, is it going to be easy to find a place?

Your office is about 6 mile from my apartment .. as a matter of fact you can stay in St Laurent area.. There are some good apartments /condo available on Corte vertue area
Because you are getting one month time to look for apartment I would advice you to come here and then look for a better apartment deal
So far I never get into subway/bus as I travel by car ...but here subway/bus service is excellent so you shouln't have any problem

Dear anil70

can you suggest me any good place for living in Montreal. I am also coming to Montreal next month, and I couldn't get any information for reasonable accomdation in Montreal.
