Hi,

I have a question about processing time. I am applying through the embassy in London. Has the processing time changed? i.e my brother applied to the same embassy in 1996 Dec/Jan and received his papers in August, only six months.

However, if you look at processing times listed at the embassy site for London for skilled workers, this timeline has gone up to 24 months? Is this the case?

yes may be they have shown as 24 months but i think it is even more...

about 36 months in total

They have/are processing May-June 2003 applications at present, but i won't be surprised if it takes around 18-24 months for applicants who applied after points were decreased.
