Hi,
I need advice from Immigration Consultant regarding TN visa.
I am a canadian citizen since Mar 2004. I had an H1 B from Nov 2005 to Dec 2010 (as Programmer Analyst)
In Oct 2011, I joined Wipro Technologies and was assigned to Bangalore India. Now I am assigned to a project in New Jersey and want to know if I can get TN visa. Wipro Tech US office will be providing me with the required documents for TN visa.
I will be travelling from Mumbai & would prefer to land at Newark. I can then fly to Toronto next day and return back - apply for TN visa at Pearson airport.
Will this create any problem. Shd I travel to Toronto directly and then try for TN and come to NJ..
I would appreciate if any one can guide me on this as I will be travelling by this month end. Pl. email me at

You should be able to apply for TN at Newark POE. Why should you travel to Pearson?
As far as TN itself, as far as the documentation is adequate for the job title you are applying, thre should not be any issues.

dimple2001,
Aren't education requirements more narrowly defined for TN visa than they are are for H1-b visa?
