Who are the most popular long distance calling providers from Canada to India .... Both VoIP & non VoIP ..... both through phone as well as well as internet .

I use Raza.com @ 1c/m .. but have observed dwindling quality some times when people in India complain that the voice is not coming strong enough . Hence the search for an alternative service provider who is both cheap & good .

I m listing a couple of them that I am aware of ... would appreciate if people can list others and share their experiences with them as well as the ones below ... both price & call quality are important ...

c. G Talk
d. Skype
e. Reliance.

Using localphone.com for last few years, 1.7c to landline and 1.5c to cellphone.

I use vonage and for 29.99 u can call unlimited to India cell phone and landlines also plus 50 countries.

Thanks - Vonage & Comwave are both monthly plans .. I was looking at exclusive long distance plans . .... either through internet or through the phone .

Localphone seems to be a choice here .. I wonder how it compares to G Talk or Skype ?

Any other experiences - welcome .

I have been using Rebtel http://www.rebtel.com/u/0334270096 for last so many years.

The rate is only 1.79 US Cents with tax included. But I like the crystal clear talk quality and the benefit of dialing local numbers for calling international numbers and that too with up to 5 phones.

They also allow a unique feature of calling absolutely free for countries which are Rebtel members. So, essentially USA, Canada, UK and lot other European countries can be called free.

I checked the Rebtel site . Rebtel and Localphone seem to be sharing the concept of local numbers while calling internationally . Rebtel is a wee bit expensive but carries the benefit of being able to connect to 50 countries free !

Local Phone on the other hand allows pc to phone calling .. Will most likely try both and figure out which one is better ...

Has any one tried Google Talk for international calling ... ? I think Skype is priced higher for PC 2 Phone calls ....

Just churning out the availability for common use .... Potentially savings can be made .
