I plan to get married in a few months time and wish to live the first year of my married life with my wife till her application is processed. I am a permanent resident and when i asked this question with a lawyer she said that yes that is good as that will make a strong case. I am financially very healthy and have my own place and wish to apply for spousal from Canada after getting married in Pakistan and then leave for Pakistan so that I can live with her till the application is processed.
This means that I wont be working with a Canadian company anymore but I will still keep my property. So far so good, but when i was reading through the sponsorship package i came accross this statement:
4. You must reside in Canada and continue to do so when the person you want to sponsor become permanent residents.
So this means that i cant live with my newly wed wife and have to wait nearly 2 years before we can be together? Or whether the statement means
that you must reside with your spouse once she becomes permanent resident and not while her application is getting processed.
