A friend of mine in India wants me to send him a loan in Indian rupee or canadian dollar for his business for a term of between 3 to 6 months. I can wire transfer to his bank account. The question I have are:
1. Do I need to get any permission in Canada?
2. Does my friend have to inform RBI or any other bodies in India?
3. Will there be any issues when my friend retruns the money with interest back to Canada in Canadian dollars? any tax issues, other than interest income?
