Guys,
I'm new to the forum so hello everyone!
Small question:
I'm sending my passport for renewal to Vancouver office this week. My previous passport (issued from India) does not have my wife's name. I've been told by their customer service representative that I need to get my marriage certificate attested by Patiala House, Delhi. I can't get it done, period!
So I've two choices:
1) Send my application w/o mentioning my spouse name - don't think there is any use of it since at least my my wife has me as spouse in her passport.
2) Sneak in my wife's name without providing any proof and hope to get it added. Obviously, there is risk of somebody noticing that it does not exist in my previous passport in which case A) they will ask for further details, B) Ignore that piece of information and proceed.
Does anyone on board has experience of similar kind? What would you people suggest?
Thanks,
Vishal
