i am still in india but just wanted to clarify, although i might sound silly ... PG accomodation is the bed & breakfast accomodation type that u r reffering to. How did u manage it ?

Is there any way in which I can have an accomodation (rented/PG) for myself before i depart from India so that i can straight away go to that place instead of having to find an accomodation.

Nice to hear your experience. If you need some help I have very close friend in North York. Please tell me he will be happier to help you. I have booked my apartment in Lawrence ave. North York @ $1000 for 2 bedroom with first 1 1/2 month free thru him.

I also would like to know from other senior desis about Lawrence ave. North york area. I have 2 children (One in 7th and other one in 9th standard. How is the area for schools. ALso I wll be landing in end of May. Do my children will have to wait till september for admission? or they can join the school in 7th and 9 th standard and go to next level in september?

I found this temporary accomodation/ PG over internet. I had discussed it with one of CD senior member (chandresh). Based on his suggestion i took it and i have no regrets. There are couple of others as well but may be they dont have internet presence. You might need to give your credit card number. I wanted to avoid it but they needed to validate the identity. I had mentioned earlier in my post how good or bad this place is.

About finding a permanent place i would suggest its better to come here and find one yourself. As personal choice would matter a lot while choosing an appartment or basement.

Thanks for the info .... although i find it a bit expensive at the website u mentioned.

Anyways I too will be looking for some help from senior CD's when i come down.
