I feel so sad and sick of reading this thread. Topic was just to discuss about what to do in this situation..and why everyone is attack... personnel attacks??
Topic was how to help someone ...
instead of that discussion ... I found funny ppl are abusing in the tread itself...
One of my friend was working in victom services and it is true most of the calls in 911 like this was asians...and this kind of situtations.
I would ask give call to victom service... this service will help..whtever it need.
I know only this much.

I have to agree with AmericanChai. It just goes to show that people are filled with so much spite and so quick to pounce on or pass judgement on those they've barely met or even known before.
I have seen these ladies crying their heart out and literally bleeding with hurt and without food and even water for 2 days till they are on their flight and whole two days either they are calling their families or families are calling to check they are safe. imagine your own daughter/sister/wife in such situation.They are more worried than us in our house for their own safety and do not sleep since they are in unknown house. I could feel their fear but what could they do, they don't have enough guts and money to go to hotel or motel.

My two cents: We get it kind sir. Just let it go...and move on. It is tragic, it is sorry and I am sure time will sort it out for them with your help. Stop beating a dead horse...

It is true that the problem of the victims is serious, tragic, and real and deserves attention and help. How to provide help is up to the individual and depends on the resources and time that he/she has and to what extent he/she wants to help them.
On a lighter note though, I found some of the posts to be very funny. As some people have suggested (some parts of this) thread can justify a place in 'Have fun' section.
Though I do not understand it, somehow some people are obsessed with posting about people doing labour jobs, lifting weights, etc. and connecting it (and some other issues, though not very related) to each and every problem faced by some people in this country. At times it is thoroughly entertaining though.
Trust me, I am not trying to make fun of the people who are having a tough time but it is simply that when you go through these posts you will appreciate the fun element.
Just my two cents.
