The headline is misleading and should be reported as contempt of court.

If anybody has dealt with supreme court, they should know that SC deals only with technical interpretation of law - they have nothing to do with evidence or witness. In this particular case, they passed the ruling regarding applicability of sec 498A of IPC. SC did not say that kicking is not cruel - just that the complaint should be filed under the relevant section of IPC for the court to preside over it.

If we look at only the heading, the meaning is totally different - thanks to creative and selective reporting..
