Hi friends,
I have been looking & exploring deals for places to visit this summer.
We are a family of 5 adults looking for hotel rooms with 2 queen beds , but I do not find deals and rates specific suiting this needs, any suggestions?
The moment I call and discuss with the booking person they quote rates which are in the range of 250-275 per day, which is on a higher side of my budget, seeking suggestions from well travelled CD's on this platform for their suggestions.
(I am looking fo 1-2 night stay at 1 particular hotel.)

Calling a hotel directly is usually one of the worst ways of booking.
You will be quoted the rack rate.

Some ways to get cheaper rates -
- Use CAA/AAA discounts if you have membership
- Book online from travel sites like hotels.com, travelocity.ca, etc.
- Be flexible with your dates (for example, Sat. check ins are usually the most expensive, if there is a convention or march in town it's hard to get cheap rates)
- Be flexible with your destination and plans (for example, go off-peak season or go to places that have cheaper hotels at this time).
Keep in mind that for most Canadian destinations, this is the peak season and for most hotels, this is the time they can make any type of money.

try to book hotel from third party website. we just went to niagara last week and found nice price online. over the counter booking was crazy high.

And if i'm not wrong you can't get a room with 2 queen beds, twins or doubles i've heard but never heard 2 queen

If possible check for apartments instead of hotels, for Toronto downtown we have paid CAD 135 per day for a 2 bedroom apartment (Opposite Hilton and 3 minutes from Eaton) but normally they work if the stay is longer then 10 days but there's no harm in checking, sometimes they do assist.

Thanks CD members for their replies , still waiting for more inputs from other well travelled CD members.
Suggestions other than what I have stated too, welcome, ( I mean places to go and stay which they have done with their family)

I booked Loft kind of room that easily accommodate 5-6 people (family) and the rate is 50-100 bucks more than regular room. Its economical rather booked 2 rooms or 2 bedroom accommodations.
