Came for H1 stamping. Stuck in Canada. Applying for work permit

Hello folks,
I came here for H1B Visa stamping and they refused. So now I am allowed to stay in Canada for the length of my visa duration. How do I apply for work permit?

What good will that do you if you have a job in the US and need to get back there?
Even if you were to get a work permit in Canada, how will that allow you to get back into the US?
I'm assuming that you already have home and things in the US and came here only to renew the H-1B stamp, correct?
If so, your best option is to go back to your home country and apply for H-1B visa there.

I know I am not offering a solution but this may helps for anyone who is planning to get H1B stamped here. Can you please share the reason visa was rejected? It is always advised that visa should be stamped form home country but very few got rejected from any other countries including Canada.

Qualification:
You must be a very well qualified individual. First find out what classification number your job falls in. {NOC Numbers} See previous posts.
Experience: You must have worked in your qualification at a very high level. Minimum period of at least ONE Year.
HOW TO GET A WORK PERMIT:
Then see if there is a call for Labor Certification. It will be under the Labor Market Opinion section. If there are none, then, you can look for a suitable employer who will offer you a job here in Canada. If he does, then get a Letter of Employment from them and apply for a Work Permit. Some Employer may apply for you too, it does not matter if it calls for a certification, they will work for the same. BUT it takes time. More than six months some time.
Applying for jobs and meeting with prospective employers:
Being present here in Canada, you can walk in and ask for employment and also appear for an interview. But you cannot start work till you get a Work Permit. I have seen people get a work permit under three months. Also meet with some of the Desies who post here and who work in your profession. If they can, they will point you to the right direction.
FUNDS : You must have sufficient funds to support you for ONE good Year. OR have pre arranged job. (Which you do not- as yet)
