I would like to share my personel story may be its very intresting Iam 60 years retired person iam sever Ashtama petient ,right now iam with my son in Toranto from last 3 moths , belive me I had never take My ashthma medication and puff from 80 days ,me & my wife staying in most expensive area of Mumbai in Palli Hill ,Bandra you will leatraly find black layer of fumes with in 30 minutes when you go out of your flats in Mumbai I used to inhale my ashtama medication atleast 4 times a day, here in toranto I stop using bed asthama medication due to non polluting envirmental in USA & Canada here iam surprize that how come our vehicle ,Rexa,Buses relese so much smoke ,(PURE POISION) here we stay right n the down town of Toranto and inspite of so many vehicle I never seen any auto fume on the road so much vehicle and having 16 way highway and trust me in this 90 days I never heard Car or any vehicle Horn here this is truth , in mumbai any one blow horn any time in night 2.30 am in Mumbai I seen small children KG student carrying Ashtma Inhale pump , I know why so much fume in our country That is becuse of Heavy adultration in Petorl & Disel in petrol people mix Neptha & 2nd slovents , and I would request you to find out who is making largest Neptha & Solvents in India and you will get the answer who is that Great person I dont want to take his name here but for atlest for our lives we have to take this thing very very seriously and start movement to stop this lives thertaning scam stock market scam is not so big scam then this scam
Iam having busines & property in India and iam going back on 18th Nov Frighten what will happen if I get Asthamas attacks again in India iam getting feelings like iam going back to Gas Chamber
I agree with you partially, as I have been through same situation. However, you should visit Toronto during a hot humid day in July or August (We did not have a single day this summer). It is a torture to go out during those days. An A/C becomes an absolute requirement.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.
In life, you win some and you lose some.
India is a country of a billion people population and it is a 3 rd world country. Though there is a section of people who are prosperous, you still have to live with the majority poor. Esp. in places like Mumbai, there are various strata of people. Probably during your younger days, you moved to Mumbai for making money and were able to bring up your children well and now they have been able to settle in Canada.
You can now look at various options like asking your children to sponser you for PR or relocate to India as a business investor or sell your propery in Mumbai and go to Hill stations like ooty, yercaud (all in TN) or Shimla etc...You can reloacte your business to Dubai where if you buy a property for US$ 100,000 (Just 50 lakhs which is peanuts to most mumbai dwellers), you will be granted PR (Permanent Residency) for 99 years
At the end of the day, the choice is in your hands. If I were in your situation, I would not return to Mumbai.

I think its the adulterated petrol dispnsed at the fuel pumps in India which results in smokes , fumes and pollution as I have not seen those fumes in the Middle East or Europe despite heavy traffic .....

You r right I have to think seriously but main problem is very good social life in Mumbai that we cant get any where my wife also very used to Mumbai life we have lot of arguments about living Mumbai only for pollution reason , this time iam going to decide this factor and sell of everything & settle in canada or other small less polution city but for that I have to give up my social life and Family business in Mumbai , but biggest surprice of my life is this pollution issue so many Indian minister visit here in US/Canada they cant see and compare this level of auto pollution with our country , gas is more expensive in India I have basic allergies of Auto fume and pollution

Not sure about your linguistic origin, but sooner or later, all non-marathis will be driven out of Bombay. So why not take a precaution and start moving your bags right now
After having lived in Canada for 5 years i would choose Social life over pollution free life. so what if you die early due to pollution atleast you would have died happily among your friends and family.
