Finally, go to reputable places for car repairs. In fact, I learnt that the Midas location at Eglinton-Dixie in Mississauga was a great place from my fellow CDs here. I went there and indeed it was a pleasant surprise. Were they a little expensive? Yep. But hey, at least I am not going through what you are going through.
Saving every damn penny, cutting corners etc also is "desi mentality". I still see people here asking for a "desi mechanic"? Why? Beats me...
I called the mechanic to see what kind of mechanic he is, posing as a customer. I felt the desimechanic was not a honest guy. When I called he was very evasive in the way he talked. That makes me believe dowtrader's story.
