I'm moiving to TO next month.
Can any one suggest if I could tranfer fund from my ICICI India (NRI) to ICICI Canada. Will there be any taxation?

Is there any other means of transfering funds?

If you have NRI account in India, you can transfer your money to Canada,
This can be done only after you open a new account in ICICIC Bank in Canada.

Hi !
if you are IMMIGRATING to Canada you are eligible to bring all your funds to Canada w/o any tax implications ..
You can open an account with RBC Canada online and transfer your funds else you can also get a DD in your name and bring it along . This way you will have a choice to chose bank of your suitability ..About ICICI there had been numerous negative comments ( and only negative ) on the board if you search ..
