Could u pls suggest good restuarants in Ottawa and Montreal?
Indian or otherwise would be good to have . That way there are both options.

Which side of Ottawa are you specifically looking for?
There is one south indian restaurant on St. Laurant - Coconut Lagoon. There is another punjabi restaurant on St. Joseph, close to Orleans, it is called Rangoli.

Would be visiting both places for the first time.
Hence no idea about locations.

But since would be visiting downtown area and other attractions , whichever is a good place close to them, would be ideal.

But should not matter , if a place is really good and recommended, i will travel to get there!!!

i suggest rangoli, it's on east end of ottawa near my place. there is another indian restuarant on west end of city called Little India.
if looking for non desi i like Nickels, it's in downtown. not much idea about montreal. therez indian restaurant called Malhi indian cuisine, used to have very good food but last time we were disappointed with the quality of food.

The best restaurant(strictly in terms of food) I found in the downtown Ottawa area is Monimahal. They have an awesome buffet and the food was great the 4-5 times that I ate there. You can just google for Monimahal + Ottawa.

Last week I was there-Good Thai I would recommend - Bangkok Thai Garden - 370 Dalhousie ( I tried the pomfret - It was great)

Little India Cafe on Carling ave close to bayshore/carling intersection is good.

In downtown, there is a Thai restaurent at 234 Queen street (Queen/Kent intersection) which is also good and inexpensive.
