Hi CDs,

Should any of you have a mortgage on which you have paid w/o a hitch for 2 years and you wish to refinance, there are very good plans and rates available right now for fixed closed rates, like in the vicinity of 4.5%

Ditto for renewal.

I just closed a refinance for somebody yesterday at 4.48% who had a variable at prime- 0.9%

So if any of you wish to revisit your mortgage/investments/insurance please do see your bank/mortgage broker/financial advisor/insurance consultant. The whole scenaio has probably changed since you did your last assessment.

Perhaps other mortgage brokers/agents on the forum can inform us if these are available for first time homebuyers

mortgage
I have an approval for 4.95% fixed and got this more than a month ago.
Any body else recently got an approval for 4.5% as pointed out by investpro.

Hi investpro,

The 4.48% fixed, does it have any clauses ?

My agent asserts it is impossible to go for 4.48%, unless you pass on the name of the institution that offers this rate, I can't really get'em to review.

Waiting for reply.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry about not being able to post it here, it might might get branded as classified (understandable).

Please PM me, I will send you all the details I have with me. You really, really don't need to refer me (for sure).
