Infact I just pulled a list from the Aprilaire website and started cold calling each one (this was around 4 yrs ago). Each of them gave me a quote for the humidifier alone (no installation). I went by the cheapest at that time.

HI Desi#1 !
If you want one I can get you at cost price ..You have to pick it from Scarborough ( brimley and Lawrence ) ..

Honeywell is also now offering a model similar to generalair 1042 at same price.
