I don't think that the application will be returned back after the encashment.

When I applied, i had left something blank. After the initial assessment, they asked for the clarification from Buffalo.

They won't return the application. they may ask you to complete that section of the form again.

Finally, my application has been accepted and I have received my file number.

Just for information to those who may be interested, I have received my file number in 2 months and 10 days after I submiited my application at CHC Delhi. (The CIC website has given the time frame of a maximum of 9 months on its website !!!)
