I would like to know whether Relaince CDMA phones which I use in India will work in Canada. I will be moving soon on PR VISA.

Here is some thing of interest. You will understand how the system works here and how they get you.
There are a few phone discussions, though all of it not under one heading, can be searched and understood. Each has their own merits. Also, the phone companies get you one way or another.
There are some Desis who operate counters and booths all over, who will give you an idea, how to go about it, after you land here. But I see that you want to have one the minute you land. I have not seen any throw away ones, as yet. They will appear soon. If you do have a few friends and relatives, you can ask them to help you in this. You can get one in your hand for use after you get through 'the holding area'.
