Income Tax refund cheques

Hi friends...

Does CRA send Income tax and GST credit cheques to India? I m planning to move back to India by this month end and my accountant says they will send my cheques but I think it's better to take a second or third opinion on this.

The refund for sure, the GST - questionsable, since U don't live in the country any longer. Play safe and do a direct deposit and provide a local mailing address

Thats interesting. I specifically asked about the GST cheques to my accountant and he said even the GST cheques will be sent to India. I guess it should because the cheques are for the period I was staying in Canada.

I have received the GST cheque a few days back since I had paid the 2005 income tax before I came back to India.
