Queries regarding Catholic/ Public Schools in North West Calgary

Dear friends,
I plan to settle in NW Calgary and I have two boys who shall go to Year 9 and Year 6 respectively this September.
1. Although we are not Christians, is it possible for us to admit both our boys to good Catholic schools?
2. In case the younger son will not be admitted to a Catholic school then can someone suggest a good locality to buy a house/ apartment that will help us admit both our boys near our place of residence?
3. I believe that most schools in NW Calgary are about the same. However, if someone has a different experience/ view then grateful if they can share it with us.
Where we shall plan to stay will primarily depend on our ability to achive the above objective and hence any views in this matter is gratefully acknowledged in advance!

Unless you convert to Catholicsm and attend a catholic church, your children canot be admitted to Catholic schools of Canada. To be admitted in Catholic schools, you need a letter from the catholic church priest and who will not give that to you unless you are made a catholic and attened the church. Admission to Public schools are free in Canada.

Exceptions 1 : I know a family who are Orthodox christians in Hamilton. The local catholic schools have admitted their children since their class rooms were empty.
Exception 2: I also know a family who were born catholic but basically follow the Gita, who have admitted their children in Catholic schools.
Conclusion : It is for you to decide.
