Hi,
A freind had told me that my Dads case for immigration under family category may be considered under : Compassionat & Humanatarian Grounds" , I am not sure what do we mean by that.
Can any one please guide me.

It appears that Compassionate and Humanitarian grounds means that an individual will have unusual and undeserved hardship if required to apply for immigration from their own country (from what I understand of the document). For ex/ if your father is financially dependant on you, then it would cause an undue hardship on him to return back home to wait for application processing.
it depends on the circumstances, however on the application form, there is a section where one can clarify the humanitarian and compassionate grounds upon which they are sponsoring the individual(s). Be clear and concise.
This is my opinion only: Im not an immigration consultant etc.
