Nagpur, Dec 15 (IANS) Virat Kohli (batting 46) and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (batting 31) kept England at bay as they took India to 146 for four at lunch on the third day of the fourth and the final Test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium, Jamtha, Saturday. India resumed the day with an overnight score of 87 for four and both Kohli and Dhoni frustrated the English bowlers with patient knocks. India, who are trailing the fourth-match Test series 1-2, were again staring down the barrel after pacer James Anderson had run through the Indian top order in the last session of the second day. Monty Panesar, the hero for England with the ball in the previous two Tests, was frustrated by Kohli and Dhoni. Both the Indian batsmen have been criticised for not applying themselves on the crease and playing one too many shots early in the innings. However, with Kohli hitting just three boundaries in his 155 balls innings and Dhoni four, the two were very circumspect and showed great patience.
