Yes, buying a quality antivirus (Norton/Mcafee,...) will clean ur machine from viruses that have been found and addressed so far, once u retirieve the latest updates from their website.

Using an antivirus and a firewall is a "best practise".

HI Peacock...
Do not buy Norton...
1.) It is expensive..
2.) Your system will become slow..very slow..

Instead go for AVG (the free one is the best). However, if you do want to spend money...buy the AVG pro..it is just moderately superior than its free counterpart.

Avg has free updates...as long as the product is supported. Norton is a paid service

AVG has conflict with real player... so I removed it. It created some other problem too. I think.. it is resource hungry.
