I am on a work permit in Canada, and wish to apply for mother's visitor visa.
I have joined this month only.

Could someone please suggest if I can call my mother on visitor visa to visit me in Canada.

My visa expires in Jan 2013.

You can invite your mother by submitting the below documents to your near by VFS in India (i hope you are from India).
- Invitation Letter
- Your Financial status in Canada (Bank Statements,etc.,)
- Filled-in Documents
- Your mother's - Proof of Funds

largly depends on your current financial standing , total household income covering all adults in the house including mother , apart from well drafted invitation letter, your employment letter , last few payslips, bank statement (collect money in bank where the regular salary is deposited ), and also important are the papers from your mother side showing her financial status , property holdings, your sibling details , pension/business/job related papers. Basically show strong ties to native land and intentions to return.

The case becomes doubtful as most of the invitational visits are based on family union after a time gap, in your case not much time is passed. keep the paper work strong..

Actually we had applied visa for her , while I was in India. But it has been rejected twice. Reapplication was within 1 week of earlier refusal.

Now finally I am in Canada. I would be getting payslips by month end only. My mother is a housewife. So we had put my father's It papers.
We are not sure of the actual reason for refusal. But the reason they give is :
1. No travel history.
2. Financial assets.

There is no property on her name. So we had shown bank statement, gold assets etc.
But still refusal.

Could you please confirm :
1. Can I reapply by June end.
2. How can I know the real reason for rejection.

Any other thing which I should take care of while re-applying.

Rejection is mainly due to family ties, travel history and/or financial docs. One thing is there to not show desperation, applying within 1 week is not good at all

My parents will be visiting USA in Oct 2012. I want them to come to Canada to visit me as well. So I will start the application process for them now...
Few questions.
1) Should I send all my side of papers to them and ask them to include their papers and send the pkg to VFS in New delhi by mail? or they hv to go in person..

2) Fee is payable to High commission + VFS service chg fee separate??

3) Can I send the certified checks from here in CAD
