Hi Guys,
I heard from one of my friend who's staying in Canada that there is no guarantee that an International Student will get a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) after completion of their course (8 months or more).
Is it true?
As per the CIC website:
1) less than eight months - you are not eligible for this PGWP
2) less than two years but more than eight months - you may get a work permit for a period no longer than the length of time you studied (for example, if you studied for nine months, a work permit may be issued for a period of nine months)
3) two years or more - a work permit may be issued for three years
(They have emphasised on the word 'may')
Has anyone been rejected a PGWP?
Please give me some insights.
Thanks & Regards,
Merwyn
Except for couple of things, there is no guarantee for any thing in this LIFE.
Anyway, if you have a proof that you have completed 8 months of study from a public college, you will get work permit (99%) if you apply within stipulated period. I know some people who got refused even after studying in a public college because they made some mistakes in their application.
