I am preparing all documents for immegration and found that there is a mistake in my birth certificate and my parents did not notice at that time. Instead of july 16 it is written july 20.

So if i correct now it will take 4 months and alot of time and money as i have to file a case n court etc etc.

So exact date on birt certificate is necessary as it is correct in other documents as ID and passport? Will they accept that document or should i correct in order to be on safe side.

Get it corrected.

You never know when you might need the birth certificate.

In India, if you have contacts with the certificate issuing authority, changing the date of birth should not take long, but it does take money.

However, if you have time, I would suggest, take the normal court route. Eitherway, get it corrected.

I am from pakistan and it will take atleast 5 months after alot of trouble to settle this matter. Other problem is that i am living in U.A.E so following such case in back home is not possible.
