I have a very unusual query..I filed my immigration from London in Aug 06 while I was in London. My relatives in London got a letter from Canadian embassy on last week saying that my file is ready for further processing and they need updated documents by 1st Jan 09 of work/change in marital status/circumstances etc.My relatives have posted the letter to me in delhi today.
I am doing my masters (MBA 5 points) which I will finish in Jan End.Plus 1 year of exp more(2 points) I will accumulate in feb. Can I send my updated papers once I have my degree+transcript in Feb and have another year of work ex to make me eligible for another 7 points. My current points are 68.
I have got scattered work exp.(11 months helpdesk(Delhi)+9 months programming(Del) + 6 months as Database techinican(UK) + 6 months Admin Asst(UK)) but since last 2 years after applying for immi i am in the same profession(software testing).I feel that by these 7 points I will have a better hold over my application because of my stabilty in career and my education..So my questions are::
1.Can I do this?(Are applications scrapped if not replied in some time frame)
2.Should I do this(Post docs to embassy in feb giving excuse that I am in delhi and got the letter from embassy late..due to delayed post from my relatives in london etc)
3.Also how will I know if my interview has been waived.Does the letter say that "No interview required" or something like that.I am skeptical of my chances in interview because of my work ex mess up.Kindly advise. Thanks
Read through the letter once more. I don't have it in front of me. But I can tell you one thing. You have been selected for PR to Canada and all they want is the updated documents, what ever you submitted in the first instance and any other items that have changed significantly since the last submission.
You say that you have pass marks of 68, That is what they are looking at now. Anything that will change in the future you can update as time progresses. You also know that, you can do it later. All of this takes time and a long long time after your submission.
You submit your papers without delay, NOW. If you do not submit, then they will consider that you have abandoned your application. It goes down the tube.
Why would you do such a thing unless you want to stay back home for good.
Thirtyfive greenbacks and you will have it : http://caipsnotes.com/index.shtml

Dear freddie, Just a month away from the deadline i will earn extra 7 points..of course everybody earns points..but not 7 points in a months time..that too at docs submission time.. 7 points should make my case more stronger..that is what is making me ask this question...
Jan 09--docs submitted--points=68+2
Feb09--docs submitted--points=68+2+5(Masters complete in feb 09)+2(1 year work ex added in feb 09)===more weightage to application.
Ok this will help me in understanding better..
can i submit the updated docs(which will update after my masters and work ex in feb09)again after sending docs in jan to claim extra points..or should i wait till interview and show my masters and work ex papers to visa officer to claim extra 7 points.
