Hi CD's

I have submitted my application in the month of November 2006 under the new "simplified process" at the Canadian Embassy in Pretoria, SA. Although I received a confirmation of my submission stating my reference number and 30-36 months as my waiting period, I wanted to know whether it does take that much time to get a visa. After going thru many threads in this forum I feel that I’m a bit early to CD since most of you are either in the verge of going thru or are already in Canada since eons. I hope someone who has left SA to Canada will be able to help me better?? Please advice.

Principal applicant is my wife who has 5 years of experience in the field of IT as a programmer and analyst. I’m a business consultant running my own consultancy in Botswana.
