Hi all,
I have a court hearing tomorrow, since i had missed the written exam date ( I was in India).
Has anyone experienced the same, what questions judge will ask, is it very difficult????
Please advise!!!
I've never been through this. But I specifically called my Citizenship Exam Course Counsellor to get his suggestions for you.
Do not worry about it this is an eye wash.
He said that the judge would ask general questions like symbols of Canada and may be something on your rights and responsibilities. He might ask you whether you recycle, your concern for environment.
Have a general idea about the whole voting process like how do you get onto the ballot, the info on the database, your information card, what and how is the ballot constituted(like all the candidates in alphebatical order) and how do you mark(you mark an X).
Also he will ask you about your ward, its number who is your Federal Rep(his name, party). You can get this info from www.elections.ca by inserting your electoral district.
You can get to know about your provincial representative from the site of www.ontla.on.ca.
He can also ask about your municipal government. But the focus would be on your Federal representative. Be prepared for the recent Liberal election data like the leader of liberal party his name and his ward.
Have a good Citizenship exam, and after you get your TN visa and visit a pub drink a cold one for me.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
