Aashu!
Have you found a baby sitter yet? I hope you have (since your parents are leaving to India this week).
Can you share with this board your experience which can benefit many.

Sidenote : Regarding the infant whom i have left in the Canadian baby sitter, Thhe infant in the early days used to cry and not eat/drink the whole day but now after 3 weeks, the infant is doing much better. Does not cry often and eats well. The infant also likes playing with new faces.
On the downside, Since the baby sitter has pets in the house, the Infant's cloths / jerkin has to be washed each day. Also this has led to the infant contracting cold from the infant's playmates at the private daycare. Again, Since the baby sitter has medical problems, I find that i have to take 1/2 day and/ or full day leave often.

TK,

my husband has managed to schedule his shifts such that, he leaves home, leaves the baby in my building only with an elderly lady for 3-4 hrs, i come back n pick the baby up and then he will also work weekends. lets see how many days this can go on.

Aashu,
Thanks for sharing the information.
It is really a hard task to manage an Infant when both people of the house are working. It is really a very thin line. I have got very frustrated, angry, Depressed, tense in this situation. It is specially true when the Infant cry's, refuses to eat, falls sick etc...
I wish you all the very best.

TK, i ve heard, its v common for babies to get sick in baby sitting because of exposure to various kids.

baby not eating : i face that problem all the time. and only thing he eats is sweet, which is not good either.

tk, cant u schedule such that u work weekends and take 2 week days off ?

Aashu,
As such, the housing market is going down and i canot even dare ask my employer to reschedule my timing. He expects me to work 7 days a week and on weekends a family member of mine takes care of the Infant. As told before, I often have to take a 1/2 day leave , 1 day leave b'cos the baby sitter has her own medical problems. There is also no good baby sitter around the area that i live. I have registered in one professional day care at Islington/Steels but they will give me a decision only n mar 07.
Also I want to ask you what your baby likes to eat at home. The infant that i am in charge does not eat anything except Oats, Cheese and baby food (only carrot and peas) and the infant is about 14 months. What we tried and the Infant does not like to eat is this :
-> Idly, Dosai, Rice, Vegetables,meat.
The doctor has said that the infant is under weight and that we have to feed the infant 6 times a day. Though the baby sitter says that the infant eats (provided by the day care provider), I canot belive it.
I have not tried sweets for the infant.
I would appriciate if CD members can tell me about what their 1 year old infant likes to eat.

market ke readymade fruits pastes he likes....

ghar me i make halwa : aate ka, rawe ka, gajar ka, lauki ka, gulab jamun, bazar ki bengali sweets, i make khichdi, v loose....thats his fvt as no chewing needed, daal rice, veggies, chapati mashed,

tk, i want to give him healthy food but at this point when weight is an issue i dont bother toomuch, i give sweet and sometimes he eats fried too as he likes friech fries n chips.....what to do ....
