I am not sure about the Google talk s/w, Blue Lobster. But I chat with my parents in India using MSN Messenger. I have the broadband Internet & my parents have dial-up. I guess Google also would be the same way.

Voice quality is good. There is a slight delay in voice transmission but voice is very clear.

I use netmeeting to talk and I do not think..............Yahoo, msn messenger,google talk come anywhere close to the quality, regardless of dial up or broadband.

Having said that....google talk is better than others but I was expecting some more functionality.....(same shit in a different plate)
