I searched the CD forums and saw many people linking to a few short-term accomodation joints. All of them have a similar model - a house with 5-6 bedrooms and 2-3 bathrooms that are shared.
I am interested in a furnished independent bedroom with attached bathroom - 20-30 days - until I find a long-term apartment.
Someone suggested the Goldlist Suite Hotel to me - CDN 1500 / 30 days. Sounds good to me.
Could someone give some feedback on this? Or are there other such places?
I am basically looking for a hotel-like place, but a little bigger so I can do some essential cooking if required. Thanks in advance.

I checked the location, and its pretty good - not a dangerous or unsafe at all...actually very good! I am pleasatnly surprised. The 25 cent charge for local calls is a bit of a bummer, but thats as expensive as going out and making calls from a booth. Think you have your own phone booth in your room. Or get a cheap cellphone plan. Try Fido or Rogers - GSM, so you can use your Indian phone maybe.
Also has a kitchen - good for heating and cooking your own food , so cut down on restaurant bills.

BTW I am told Charles Street East is pretty much in the downtown area :-)
