I tried reliance and found that it gives less minutes than what is promised. I use a calling card called NEW TIME which gives very good minutes and good service most of the time on calls to India. It is worth giving a try.

Thanks for the info, hat is the rate offered by this new card.
I use reliance as well and have not faced any overcharging problems. The only add-ons over the 13.9cents is GST/PST.... and thier pulse rate is 1 minute which is another drawback. But i like the flexibility it offers to call from any phone , excellent voice quality and reliable connection in single try , even in remote parts of india.
Some pone cards offer great rates but with their connection fee, and limitations on using partial cards i think one ends up paying the same or even more than reliance . Moreover, the quality of service with most phone cards deteriorates within a few weeks/months. So far reliance has been very consistent.
Thats my experience with reliance. Wonder what others users have to say.

Are you talking about Reliance India Call (relianceindiacall.com)? I hope there is no "fake" calling card by similar name sold in grocery stores. You can even access your account on the web for relianceindiacall.com and can see for what duration the calls were made and to which number or else call the customer service and find out what they have to say regarding lost minutes.

With Reliance I get less minutes than what is promised.
NEW TIME is a card which I am using for more than 8 months now. Except for a few instances it has consistently given good quality, minutes and conectivity. $ 5.00 card is sold for $ 4 in all Desi stores and it gives me 35 to 42 mins for Pune. It has worked great for me.

I use relianceindiacall.com ... I never have any problem with the service.
Some phone cards give different rates for Cellphones and Land line numbers to India, When reliance gives you flat rate throughout India with really good quality....
