hi Peacock

Hows the packing going on ?
Found out a few things about the income tax cleaarance, you have to fill up a form 30 C and submit it to the IT office and keep the second acknowledged copy.
I have posted the form in "Moving soon" section under topic "Income tax and police clearance for emigrants".

Peacock, you have a good approach . Getting in touch with and forming a group of people in same situation as yours will help tremendously .

I did the same and still am in close touch with the group we formed during those initial days. The friendships we formed in the early uncertain days remains strong and till today and many could get better jobs from within the group.

Please give your feedback after coming to Canada. People asking info before coming here and after landing they are missing on this forum ( I know they are too much busy to settledown) but after some months they have to paste their ANUBHAV on this forum for others.

Posting your ANUBHAV is really helpful to new comers.

to my opinion it is safer to travel then as security is high on/around these days

CCheryl Nothing ashubh abt it ! At least if he is travelling on that day, he should be aware of its significance in this part of the world. He should not fear anything. I have had some communication with him, He does not have any "fishy" sounding names neither is he a.... (you know the rest)
So it should be all cool for him..
