Immigration HELP,

I am on permanent residence status but did not complete 730 days. I could not come to Canada because of health problems of my parents i had to be close to them. Now i am in Canada for good and my pr card will expire in 3 months and i don't want to loose my pr status. I have all the documents to prove my parents conditions and there hospitalizations.

Please guide me how should i solve this problem. As i mention earlier i don't want to loose my pr status. Look forward for your guidance.

Just keep holding the card and apply for renewal only after you complete 730 days. In application I believe you have to mention 730 days in past 5 years.

Otherwise, they may not renew your card. So be careful before you apply for renewal.

Immigration does not care about the reasons of your absence except only if you are taking care of any Canadian Citizen outside Canada.
