Hi,

the 1st list of invitations is out and the CIC has sent out invitations to people who already had jobs or provincial nominations.

i have a good score from a candidature standpoint, but i am yet to get a job or a provincial nomination which will provide me the 600 points.

would be grateful if someone can advise on the same.

Hmmm ..looks like a new scheme by the gov. to get minimum wage well educated employees over here

As derogatory the above statement seems for the aspiring immigrants, the truth is immigration is now in the hands of hiring managers of corporate sector but most of the job requirements are to be filled soon which a local candidate will do instead of waiting on an immigrant to finish packing from other corner of world. Only motivation for corporate will be cheaper labor or some highly specialized dude. And then there is famous hoopla of Canadian experience, Canadian Education, Canadian accent and at times Canadian skin.
