Visiting gulf countries - do Canadian citizens require visa !

Is it true that any Canadian citizen who wants to visit uae,Saudi or Qatar should get a visa before travelling. If so, why is it that gulf states look bit harsh on Canadian citizens. How about American and other European citizens, so they also require visa to visit any of these countries.

Why should Gulf states care? They have Oil which we all beg to buy. So they can make their own rules.
Once Oil dies, then we (NA's) can make rules.
It is the survival of the fittest.

UAE : 30 Visa is provided on arrival for Canadians... Only Passport is needed.
Qatar : Per the link , 30 day Visa can be applied for ( and provided ) on arrival. Appears that they additionally would like to see 3 months Bank statement.

Canada doesn't need Gulf Oil . The Alberta tar sands produce way more than enough.
In fact Canada is the largest supplier of Oil to US, more than any other country including Saudi.
India is heavily dependent on Gulf Oil , NA not so much.

Absolutely.. NA should pump more oil into the market and bring down oil price then you will see the end of muslim terrorism
